Water tanks, reservoirs, swimming pools etc are water retaining structures where heavy duty water proofing treatment is required. In such case pressure grouting would be needed prior waterproofing. This is to ensure that there is no honeycombs present in the structure.

Method of waterproofing for water retaining structures

  • Clean entire surface to for a sound concrete
  • Pressure grout necessary points. (Pressure grouting is to be don on all weak areas of concrete and where water water seepage occurs
  • Apply Waterproofing coating
    • Crystallization coating in case there is any negative pressure of water (Two coats)
    • Polymer coating for structure where there is no negative pressure (three coats recommended)
  • Water may retain for 72 hours for testing. Once the above process is completed, a protective screading is necessary
